Ever since I was a teenager, I knew that I was passionate about small business. I started my first business at the age of 18 and, while that business existed solely to bring me and my friends some money before heading back to college for the semester, it really opened my eyes to the freedom and fun of entrepreneurship!
The biggest challenge we had as a business at the time was managing the money, understanding what our actual profits were, and figuring out strategies to make more money. While this was a casual business with my high school best friends, it was the driving force behind me pursuing an accounting degree, which I earned from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
Since college, I went on to work in both public accounting as well as corporate. While the experience was valuable, being able to learn more about certain industries and take a lot of notes about how the corporate world functions, I really needed to scratch the itch of wanting to work for myself.
In 2021, I took on my first private accounting client and realized that what was missing all along my career was the ability to truly help those who I was working with. I finally took the dive in 2022 as a New Year's resolution and have serviced over 70 unique clients in my first two years of business.
On my personal side, I grew up in northern Virginia and have also lived in Baltimore, MD, West Virginia, and now just outside Oklahoma City. In my free time, I enjoy writing and recording music, casual video games, and spending time with friends, family, and my 13-year-old Shiba Inu mix, Santana!
